Since this is a kid's page, my mom asked me to write this one. My name is Courtney Jackson, my mom Candace Jackson, is president of Museum Mania™, she is the one who thought this whole thing up. One day last summer, she and one of her partner's Brent Block asked my friend Noa and I to go on a Treasure Hunt at the a major art museum.
At first, I didn't want to go because I thought art museums were boring. After she begged and pleaded for about two days I finally gave in. To tell you the truth, I really didn't think that we were going to have a good time. However, I figured that we'd probably get lunch out of the deal and that we might even talk her into getting us ice cream after it was over.
Well, when we got to the museum they handed us the book. It has a great cover, that my mom designed. The inside is pretty plain however, that really didn't matter because we were too busy looking at the real art work, in the museum. They had us find all kinds of things. They even asked us who we thought had a bigger shoe size, these big statues by this guy named Rodin or Shaquile O'Neil.
Noa and I ended up having a great time. Of course we didn't tell her that. We acted like we would be doing her a big favor and told my mom that if she really wanted us to that we would do the Getty for her next.
So, if your mom ever says to you, "Let's go to a museum this weekend." Tell her, "Only if we can go on a Museum Mania™ Treasure Hunt!"
